The Quest for a prize

About a month ago we received a bingo ticket in the mail, well Darryl loves bingo tickets so he scratched it and what do you know he gets a box. Once you have won you have a number to call to claim your prize. Oh no, its not that easy. First you have to book an appointment so some sales people can some into your house and talk to you about an air purifier. I know at that point a lot of you would have rolled your eyes saying, "oh god!" and threw the ticket away. Oh no, not Darryl he wanted his prize. There were options of a digital camera and a bunch of other stuff for prizes and a $100 gift certificate to a hotel was one of them, when you look in the fine print on the back it is clear you are going to get the gift certificate because the odds that they show you of getting the other stuff is like, 1/799,999. Again I would have dismissed it but, Darryl was adament that the box would give us a good prize for sure. Oh, and they couldn't even just yammer on and bore him to death, his "spouse" had to be there as well. Well we made an appointment but because they were too busy we got bumped.

On a day that I was incredibly cranky from work, tired, starving and we had to go grocery shopping Darryl decides to book the appointment. Well our house wasn't anywhere near clean and I was so tired I thought I was going to kill him because I now had to rush and clean the house.

These two salesman come about an hour later, one is training so there are two. The one that is training him starts commenting about how nice our big screen tv is and how nice our couches are. So they go through their whole speal and they are trying to show me how this machine sucks up dust and how much dust is in our rugs that we just don't realise, so he scrapes my carpet and three dust particals come out and I haven't vacuumed in 3 weeks, I was like oh yeah that is definately something we should fix *rolls eyes*. So they cut to the chase and this thing is $3000, pffft I don't think so buddy! So I try to tell them now as nicely as possible and the one that is training just keeps pushing. Then the new guys says, well Darryls asthma is only going to get worse you really need to get something in the house to prevent that. After that I got really mad, do not bring the love for my boyfriend into this, his asthma isnt bad and only bugs him when he is sick which is never, a-hole!

So anyway the guy that is training makes like he is going to call his boss to tell him they are done and he starts going on about how much our house would go for and the couches in our livingroom how nice they are. I was so pissed off like, yes we bought those things which is why we no longer have money, no piss off!

Long story short we got the damn gift certificate, I felt like screaming I told you so and doing a happy dance but I was too annoyed.

the Cottage...

So I am trying out this new google blogging thing and I don't know if I like it or not...hmm....it makes things more complicated as far as I am concerned but hey what do I know.

Last weekend was awesome. I took Friday off work and headed up to a cottage that my mom was staying at. It was a pretty crappy couple of days weather-wise but we made the most of it and had a blast. Darryl and I got to go on a seadoo for the first time which was awesome, he had such a great time he didn't want to get off and now he wants one.
Here we are, aren't we hot?! lol. That weekend they were having guests over so we left Friday night since Darryl also had to work at 6am Saturday. It was a beautiful drive back and we got lost and ended up taking a "detour" but we made the best of it and made fun of sexual roads but what was funny is they weren't sexual at all we were just hyper.
Grr someone just went by on a bike with a really load exhaust and set off my car alarm. Damn hoodlums...teehee.
Back to the story, it was my aunts birthday that weekend so my mom made her an amazing turkey dinner with all the fixin's and we all hung out watching the video tape I took of the cottage. They bought two puppies who are absolutely the cutest. I wanted to take one home so bad. Anyway I better get some actual work done, ciao!

I went to a wedding this weekend in North Bay, and I had a great time. It was definately nice going to a different town and having a new change of scenery. The drive was a little long but as soon as we got into town we went to the place I was having my hair done and they fit me in a bit early which was good considering it took 30 minutes longer then I thought it would have taken. After my hair was done we went and got some lunch and then to the hotel to check in and get ready for the reception. When we got to the hotel they told us that our reservation had been cancelled. I was ready to kill someone. The one time I let Darryl make the reservation and don't check to make sure its right, it gets fucked up.

So the ceremony is at 3pm it is now 2pm with no room until 2:30pm at the earliest. Thank god one of Darryls friends were also staying there so we called them and then got ready with them. From then on in it was great and everyone looked fabulous especially me and my stud muffin. I wanted to attach some pics but my camera's batteries are dead so I will have to add some later on.

My mom has taken the week off and gone up to her friends cottage to relax which is basically a mansion. So I am going to try and get Wednesday off to head up there and spend a day there. Since I just started this job I doubt it but who knows its worth a try.

hmm....nothing else too interesting to report, oh I got totally hammered at the wedding and threw up. Before this I had decided that I have been drinking too much beer which in turn is making me fat so I am giving up on drinking for a little while and if I do drink I will be choosing vodka and water as my drink of choice. Of course we decide to have a party this weekend when I make this decision.

Today we say goodbye to my car whom I effectionately call Chilli pepper. Why do I call it that you ask? Well because its red and it has some pep. I put a really cute roxy symbol in the back window and it looked so cute. It is a 1992 Dodge Shadow and it was great. About year and a half ago I got into an accident with it, I re-arrended a car, tented the roof of my car, bent the radiator back, and it still ran great. Til this day is still runs great, the only problem with it, is there are absolutely no shocks in it, which is very dangerous. So the wreckers are coming by today to pick it up and take it to car heaven.

This car has been great and taken all of the beating up I have given it like a champ. I will miss you car, car. Now to go and take the plates off...*sniff sniff*

Hello everybody, I know it has been forever since I have written but I am been in a poopy mood and not felt like sharing anything with anybody. Everything at work is going great this week, I spoke to one of the guys telling him that I wasn't happy to which he relayed to the owners so they are trying to make me happy and address some of my concerns, which is good. I find out tomorrow about my raise or atleast I hope I do. I have told them that I don't like having to drive out there almost everyday and that it is a lot of wear and tear on my car, so I think we are going to talk Friday about moving the office or what they are planning on doing. I understand them wanting to have their office from their house but they told me they hired a girl from the city because they wanted to move to the city and now they are changing their minds, well I think its fair that I change my mind about the job then.

Last weekend I went camping and my god I had a great time. It was so nice to just laze around and drink and enjoy the beautiful scenery and weather. I wish we hadn't left it so late to make it up there because now we have no other time we can go up again. I went kayaking for the first time which was really scary but also a lot of fun when I got used to it. It was nice that me and Lo Lo got a lake all to ourselves to catch up and talk about boys..teeheee. We left Sunday afternoon which sucked we couldn't have another night there but some family was at my moms house so I wanted to see them before they went back and we had a lot to do around the house. I was going to attach a pic of stuffmuddin extrordinaire but I am using a different comp that doesn't have that pic on it and I am way too lazy to go in my e-mail and get it, so tough luck.

Grrr I have no new good songs on my comp and I don't know what to download, any suggestions?

Things at work are going shitty again. I swear I have the worst luck ever with jobs. This time the couple is getting divorced and I am stuck in the middle. They are using me against eachother and using me for information, it sucks and I hate it. I feel like telling them that I went through this when I was a kid and I don't need it again.

I am working from home today which is cool because we are going camping this weekend and I have a shitload of stuff to do around the house. So far I have loaded and started the dishwasher and put a load of laundry in, and its only 8:50am. Oooh I am good.

I cannot wait for this weekend, this loooong weekend..wahoo! So Friday night we are going to leave for camping, pick something up to eat and then set up our tent and get the fire ready for when everyone else arrives. Then we are going to leave late Sunday and go to dusk til dawn at the drive-in, and Monday will be left for relaxing and getting everything cleaned up from the weekend.

Last night we went and bought a new cooler, which is awesome. Its a five day silver cooler with wheels which is exactly what I wanted, I am so spoiled. Once we got out of the store it looked like we were going to have a tornado, all of the clouds were moving really quick and gathering in one area and the wind picked up and was moving quick too. As scared as I was there was still a lot of shopping to do so we couldn't leave right away, and by the time we were ready to leave it had calmed down a lot and was just pouring.

My favorite part of the night was when I told Darryl to close his window all the way because it was going to rain and he refused saying it was going to be fine, so I left it at, "fine, its your seat" and when we got out to the car his seat was soaked and he was all wet by the time we got home. It took everything I had not to say, "I told you so!".
